Shodipo is appointed executive director by Fidelity Bank.

 

After regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Pamela Shodipo as executive director of the south directorate.

According to a statement from the bank, Shodipo has over 25 years of multifunctional and international banking experience at renowned financial institutions. This experience includes general management and business initiation in a variety of market segments, including corporate, commercial, consumer, retail, and public sector.

We welcome Pamela Shodipo to the board of directors of Fidelity Bank Plc. At this point, her broad experience in a variety of banking activities is a welcome addition to the board.

Mustafa Chike-Obi, chairman of the Fidelity Bank Board of Directors, said, "We are optimistic that she would play a vital part in our effort to deliver fast, value-adding, and financially empowering services to our growing client base.

In accordance with the statement, Shodipo started her professional career in January 1991 at International Standard Insurance Company, where she later transferred to work as a customer service officer for United Commercial Bank Ltd in 1992.

She joined Zenith Bank Plc in April 1997, where she worked until September 2007 and advanced to the position of assistant general manager. In October 2007, she accepted a position as a regional director with United Bank for Africa Plc.

Also, she was employed by UBA, where she oversaw several Regional Banks. In 2017, she was promoted to general manager, where she had direct supervision over up to 28 branch managers.

Before being named managing director/chief executive officer of UBA Benin Republic, where she served from December 2021 to November 2022, she served as directorate head of Lagos 3/Public Sector from October 2020 to November 2021.

Before being elected to the board of Fidelity Bank Plc, Shodipo was the head of personal banking for the UBA Group, with responsibility for Nigeria and Africa.

The statement further said that Shodipo has a Master of Business Administration from Cardiff University of Wales College in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Lagos (1990). (1995).
