El-Rufai Calls for Tinubu’s Ouster in 2027, Labels APC Government a Threat

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has called on Nigerians to reject President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the 2027 elections, warning that another term for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would jeopardize the nation’s stability.

Speaking during a political tour in Sokoto, El-Rufai accused the APC of incompetence and divisiveness, claiming its continued rule risks Nigeria’s unity and development. He engaged with youth, women, and political leaders across the state’s 23 local government areas, stressing the need to rescue the country from what he termed "failed leadership."

“I entered politics to serve, not to enrich myself,” El-Rufai stated. “When a government fails its people, it becomes our duty to act and restore good governance.”

He revealed that opposition groups have adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform for the 2027 polls, aiming to present a united and credible alternative.

“Allowing the APC another term could further damage Nigeria’s social fabric. This is a crucial battle for our nation’s survival,” he declared.

El-Rufai pledged to ramp up nationwide mobilization efforts to ensure the APC’s defeat in the next general elections.
