Gunmen killed five passengers on Sabon Gari-Company Company Road in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was reported that the victims, including a security guard, were killed by suspected criminals operating in the area.
According to Abdullah Usman, a resident of the town of Wase, a security guard and one other person were identified, while the remaining three were killed while the robbers tried to investigate.

Usman added that more than 20 passengers were abducted in the incident.
"The security guard and another man were riding a motorcycle from Sabon-Gari to the Company when the robbers attacked them. They killed them and then left on a motorcycle," Usman said.
