Former Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani has revealed that the northerners who backed Bola Tinubu in the February 25th presidential election want the position of Senate President in order to checkmate the incoming administration. In a tweet on Tuesday, Sani said that while it’s a wise political move, it’s also akin to being in love while harbouring doubts and fear, and that true love is supposed to be blind.
He wrote: “The Northerners, who helped Asiwaju win the throne, are now claiming they want the Senate Presidency to checkmate him. It’s a wise political move. But it’s similar to being in love while also having doubts and fear. The idea of true love is blindness.”
