Abacha's Son Challenges Court Ruling Over Malabu Oil Ownership

Mohammed Abacha, son of former Nigerian military leader General Sani Abacha, has filed an appeal to overturn a recent Court of Appeal judgment denying his claim to Malabu Oil and Gas Limited.

The company has been at the center of a long-standing dispute involving one of Nigeria’s richest oil blocks, OPL 245.

The appellate court had earlier dismissed Abacha's ownership claim, but he has now taken further legal steps to contest the decision. The case traces back to allegations of fraud and corruption linked to the oil block's controversial allocation.

Malabu's ownership has been disputed for years, involving multinational oil firms and high-profile figures. Abacha's latest move signals an escalation in the legal battle over the lucrative oil asset. (Words: 120)
