Ceasefire Between Israel and Iran Likely to Hold, Says Leighton

Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Cedric Leighton, citing a CNN report, suggests that a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Iran may endure for some time. 

He notes that Israel has already accomplished key objectives, such as targeting Iranian nuclear sites and degrading its air defense capabilities. Meanwhile, Iran is focused on regrouping and reassessing its next steps. 

Given these dynamics, Leighton believes the pause in hostilities could remain in place—at least in the short term.
