Olamide and Asake Reunite for New Album

Nigerian rapper Olamide has teamed up with Asake once again for his upcoming self-titled album, Olamide, marking their first collaboration since rumors of tension between the two artists circulated online.

The new single, titled ’99’, features Young Jonn, Seyi Vibez, and British artist Daecolm. Slated for release on June 18, 2025, the 17-track album includes previously dropped hits like ’Hello Habibi, 'Metaverse’, and ’Uptown Disco’—which also stars Asake and Fireboy.

Produced by Willis, ’99’ brings together a mix of Afrobeats talents. Asake, who left Olamide’s YBNL Nation to launch his own label, Giran Republic, in February 2025, appears on the track, dispelling rumors of a fallout. His debut single under the new imprint, ’Why Love’, was released earlier this year.

A music video for '99’ is set to drop soon. Olamide will be the rapper’s 11th solo album, following his April 2025 single 'Kai’ featuring Wizkid—their first collaboration since ’Omo To Shan'  in 2011.
