In a show of solidarity, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu led a high-level delegation to Kebbi State to commiserate with Governor Nasir Idris over the demise of the Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammadu Sani Sami (rtd).
The delegation, which included Senator Aliyu Wamakko and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Maigari Dingyadi, visited Zuru on Saturday to offer their condolences.
Governor Aliyu eulogized the late monarch as a revered leader whose impactful contributions to human development and the nation would not be forgotten. He stated that the emir's passing was a profound loss to his family, the Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, and Nigeria, and offered prayers for his soul.
Senator Wamakko and Minister Dingyadi also paid tribute, highlighting the emir's lifelong dedication to public service and the enduring legacy he leaves behind for future generations.
