FCTA Revokes 1,095 High-Value Property Titles Over Unpaid Charges, Lists Prominent Figures



The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the revocation of 1,095 property titles for failing to pay mandatory statutory charges. The affected properties are situated in upscale districts of Abuja: Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, and Wuse.

In a public notice, the FCTA stated that enforcement actions will begin after a final 14-day grace period expires on November 25, 2025. According to the administration, 835 properties defaulted on ground rent payments, while another 260 failed to pay violation and land use conversion fees.

The published list includes several notable individuals, such as former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje; former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke; Patience Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan; former Senate President David Mark; and former Osun State Deputy Governor Iyiola Omisore.
