See How Innocent Teenage Girl was Abducted and Gang-Raped in Port Harcourt (Video)

In a disturbing incident on December 20, 2023, two suspected cultists, identified as Precious (aka Pere) and Chidebere (aka B2K), reportedly abducted and gang-raped a 14-year-old girl in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt. The appalling act took place around 10 am near a three-story building on National Street Mile 3.

According to an anonymous source, the perpetrators confronted the girl in a secluded area, brandishing an object resembling a gun to intimidate her. Threatened with harm, the victim was coerced into compliance before the assault occurred.

The source revealed that the apartment where the crime transpired allegedly belongs to one of the landlords in the building, occupied by his son. Notably, one of the cultists, Precious (aka Pere), had recently been released from prison.

The victim's mother, opting for anonymity to avoid stigmatization, confirmed the incident. The matter has been reported to the Nkpolu Police Division in Mile 3, where the girl received a medical examination and is currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Jennifer Stephens, the Vice Chairperson of the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign, condemned the abduction and gang defilement. She expressed concern over the reported recurrence of such incidents in the same building and urged swift action by the police.

The state police spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, assuring ongoing investigations. She stated, "The Divisional Police Officer and his team are already on their trail to ensure they are arrested and meant to face the law. For now, investigation is ongoing, and I assure you that before long, the suspects will be apprehended."
