The National Union of Anambra State Students (NUASS) Worldwide has announced the appointment of Comrade Agu Mary-Ann Ogechukwu as the new Director of Human Rights and Legal Aid for its Enugu Zone.
Following extensive deliberations, the NUASS National Executive Council (NEC) selected Comrade Mary-Ann, a dedicated 300-level Law student, recognizing her leadership qualities, academic excellence, and commitment to advocacy.
During her tenure as Chairman and member of her institution’s Electoral Board, she played a pivotal role in ensuring fair and transparent student elections, earning praise for her integrity and impartiality. Known for her legal expertise, persuasive communication, and dedication to justice, she has actively participated in legal aid initiatives and student welfare campaigns.
A staunch defender of student rights, Comrade Mary-Ann has consistently championed equity and empowerment, particularly for marginalized students. Her appointment reflects NUASS’s confidence in her ability to uphold the union’s mission while advancing its objectives.
